Oh, Happy day:)

OUR SNOW IS ALMOST GONE!!!  A week ago, I was walking in snow that was past my knee, now it is gone :)  On Friday, I was pulling Hannah out of snow banks because she was stuck, gone!

Yesterday, on our way into the Cities, we stopped to look at the flood.  This is big for here.  We are NEVER in the news, but we are now in it daily.  FLOODING!  Pretty exciting eh?  If you live in a town, pop. less than 1000, it is :)  We were watching the water go by really, REALLy fast, no ice or anything and then all of a sudden, HUGE chunks of ice, probably about 5 times the size of our house were coming down river.  The bridge was shaking and rumbling.  I should add that Chester, our local cop, and MNDot where joining us on the bridge to watch so we were not the only crazy ones, along with 1/3rd of the town.  Then, up river, a ice dam must of just given free, because the river became total chunks of ice and trees.  The trees on the shore, were being cut by the huge ice chunks as if they were tooth picks and being carried away.  Trees were just barely making it under the bridge, them too being snapped and we are talking huge, full grown trees.  Pretty amazing.    It dammed up 1/2 a mile down river from us...

Now, today, I am sad to admit but we have yet to get out for a walk this year.  TODAY IS THE DAY!!!  I am pretty excited about that too!!!

We started with lessons as usual for a week day.  Then in the excitement of the promise of making cookies, she wanted to play with the cutters so she pulled them out and that turned into a math lesson.  She sorted cutters by size, divided them up to share, who had more, who had less, how can we make them the same? etc.  Great fun!  Then of course, time to make cookies:)

Here she told me "Now I am your sweet little sugar cookie!"  Too cute :)

And had to show this one...  The other day, she asked if she could make her own lunch.  When I asked her what she needed, her reply was "bread, peanut butter and cheese" yes, she made her own PBC sandwich and kept yelling "Delicious!"
