HAPPY 144th CANADA DAY!!!

Today's lessons were about Canada :) We made a Canada Day Quilt.

Using the picture of my Cousin Jimmy to copy the uniform of the Mounties.

The final result. She wondered if Jimmy rode a boy or girl horse, and once I talked to her about how not all Mounties rode horses, she was happy that she could colour the horse to look like StarLight, Rainbow Bright's horse :)

The final result of Hannah's Canada Day quilt :) She is rather proud of it. We talked about where my family lives, reviewed Loonies and Toonies, talked about the beaver, the national symbol, and the RCMP. It was a very fun lesson and a good reminder that I need to spice up our lessons more ;) Abeka can be pretty dry at times!

Next project, 4th of July :)
