And the fun continues! We had a week packed full of play dates at the park and at home. We spent as much time as we could outdoors, and hardly any time inside.
Math, we are reviewing addition and sets. Looking forward to moving on but I love how Hannah is starting to memorize addition facts on her own, and seeing her confidence build as she is sure she is right with more and more answers without needing to count on her finders or in her "Scribble Book"
Another 100% on her spelling test. We had problems with 'did' because of the d vs. b. When you ask her how to spell the word, she says it no problem. I decided to see what HWT did for the letter 'd' and pow, she got it and has not gotten it wrong since! 2 years of confusing the b and d, even with songs, pictures and rhymes, she gets it in 2 minutes :) So we retried 'did' and I called it good :)
For Science, we are still working on her skeleton. So we went over the main bones in her body, and as we did so, we wrote the name on her body, where the bone was. She thought I was crazy at first but didn't take long to convince her to go along with the fun. Her biggest kick was SKULL written across her forehead... didn't get it all off for dance that evening. She thought it was pretty cool!
Handwriting Without Tears, (HWT) is magical! She loves to print now and it is so nice to see! "Another page mom? Please..."
Even the 'o'. Who would guess that letter would be a problem child, but it has been, also for about 2 years. No Hannah, you start the O at the top not bottom... now, if she does start at the bottom, she catches herself, erases and starts again from the top :) YESSSSSS!
